The new agreement was that I was to stay in my dorm
room until I was too sick to attend classes. When this happens, I'll
have to reside in the clinic until I either get better, or die. The
dean only agreed with this when Wu Fei stated that he would take full
responsibility. Wu Fei had no problems with making the deal, since
that's exactly what he's been doing since day one. In truth, I believe
Helix was glad to see me go. . .at least now, he wouldn't have to
put up with Heero for a while. That was six months ago; presently, Heero and I were
at a bar and grill off campus. It was our favorite place to go on
Friday nights. The place was called Harpo and we liked to go to play
pool. I waited for Heero to remove the rack from the balls before
placing the cue. As I started to aim, my vision started to blur. I
tried to fight against it. It was a rare occasion that we could do
something without me getting sick. "Huh?" I looked up at him and he nodded toward
the table we were sitting at two games ago. The waitress was placing
our food on the table. I had the feeling that he wasn't suggesting
it because of the food. . .but I didn't resist. We replaced our pool
sticks and headed for the table. The sight of the food slightly turned
my stomach, but the smell made me nausea. It looked good, and I'm
sure that it taste the same. . .but for some reason, my stomach decided
to disagree. I drank some water in hopes of settling the nausea, but
it didn't help. "Are you okay?" Heero asked and slid closer
to me so that he could hear my answer over the live band. I only shook
my head before I jumped to my feet and headed toward the bathroom.
Thankfully, no one else was in the rest room when I
barged in and dashed into the nearest stall. I tried to make myself
throw up. Maybe after I did, I would feel better. That's the way it
usually worked. . .but my body wouldn't cooperate with my will. I
was starting to become lightheaded and dizzy when I heard someone
enter the rest room. I knew it was Heero. I leaned back against the
wall of the stall and swung open the door. I looked up as Heero kneeled
in front of me. I must have looked like shit, for his eyes became
concerned. "I'm sorry." "Don't be. It's not your fault." He pulled
me into his arms after saying this. I leaned into the hug, but it
only made me feel weak. I slid down his chest to lay on the floor;
my head rested on his knee. This wasn't right. I know seeing me like this was bothering
him. If I had to see him like this, it would have torn me apart. I
felt his hand lightly rubbing my back and side as I hugged his knee
closely and started to cry. I was surprised that I still had tears
left. I thought I had used them all up a long time ago. I hated doing
this to him. . .but if the tables were turned, I'd feel the same way
he was. I'd want to be there for him the way he was for me. I stopped
feeling sick and weak, and started to become tired. I tried to fight
the fatigue, but couldn't. ~ * ~ Chapter
