"Go Home"Written By: Dragonmistress_7 Disclaimer: I don't own the Gundam Wing Boys.
Go Home There was nothing to be seen out the window but gray sky over gray concrete, with little hints of green further out, if you looked for them. She didnt. She didnt even really see the gray. Still, her gaze was pointed out the window, and her fingers traced the pattern of the rain across the cold glass. He was here. Part of her was glad, so glad it was time. The rest of her didnt care, really and truly didnt. She didnt even entertain the possibility that she was hiding secret feelings. The only people who thought about that were the ones who really were. He was silent as ever, but she could tell by his reflection in the window that he was standing just inside the doorway, looking at her back. She didnt turn, didnt speak, just waited. In a moment, he would say the words that would damn him. Im back, he told her quietly. Yes, there it was. She turned toward him, her smile tight and grim. Yes, Ive noticed that about you. You always come back. And Ive finally realized that even if you do it for the rest of your life, thats all youll ever do. Come back. He regarded her steadily, but said nothing and waited in his turn. He was accustomed to her games and riddles, and he wasnt about to start letting her play with him now. Enough, she said. I dont know how long youve been trying to get me to say that. Maybe you tried to tell me, and I wouldnt listen, or maybe you knew it wouldnt do any good to tell me, and that I had to figure it out on my own. Well, I have, and now Im saying it. Enough. Stop. Leave, and dont come back. Dont ever come back. He stared at her, not quite sure he really understood what she was saying. The surface meaning was clear enough, but she seemed to be trying to tell him something else. Sitting down wearily in on the window seat, she stared out for a long, long moment, and then she looked into his eyes. You want some advice from an old friend? Find some place, some thing, somebody, and give a damn. And then, when you do, never go back. Go forward. Go home. He turned to leave, allowing the finality and the guilty relief to wash over him, even as he considered her words. He looked over his shoulder at her, and she could have sworn she saw him smile. Mission accepted.
Heero? The voice was surprised and a little confused. Well, good. That made two of them. He hadnt expected to find himself here, yet at the same time, he had. He pulled his shirt over his head, toed his shoes off, and slid into the bed. Pulling its other occupant to him, he kissed the mouth hed had fantasies about, and found every one of the visions to be lacking. Heero, whats going on? The voice was breathy, and Heero smiled to himself. Relena broke it off. She told me never to come back. He held a beautiful face his hands, and lost himself in eyes that shone with lust, and - was that hope? When I left, all I could think was that it was time to come find you. I just wanted to come home.
